Forkin's assessment of the Tiong Bahru sandwich and burger cafe rests on three independent first-hand reviews. Daniel Food Diary praised the juicy soy-garlic chicken and the crunch of fish skin and said it was a place he would happily return to for comfort food. jiaksimipng found the Double Chez burger savoury and juicy without being oversalted, but thought the chocolate sauce served alongside was strangely tangy and did not gel with the dish. Chef & Sommelier was the most measured of the three, calling the food decent with creative touches but concluding it did not quite wow and that the kitchen was still finding its rhythm.
