Methodology & Corrections

Forkin' Worth It publishes source-backed Singapore opening records and practical food guides to help readers find useful starting points for a meal out. Our current records are research, not personal dining reviews.

Editorial purpose

We document newly opened and upcoming venues, then make guides that are clear about what they are and where their details came from. Restaurant information changes; readers should confirm current hours, menus, availability and policies directly with the venue.

Sources & verification

Our hierarchy starts with direct, attributable evidence: a venue's official website, reservation channel or verified public social account. We then use established reporting, landlord or mall announcements, and other credible public sources to corroborate a lead. Source links shown on a record identify the basis for that record; they are not a claim that the venue has confirmed every detail to us.

Opening records

An opening record is included when there is enough public evidence to describe a venue and link readers to its sources. We label details as they are supported and avoid presenting a planned opening as a confirmed one without the relevant evidence. Dates, menus, locations and links can change after publication.

Guides & lists

Guide entries are selected for the stated editorial brief using relevant, publicly available source material, practical usefulness and basic linkability. Their order is editorial and navigational—not a scientific ranking, score or claim of universal quality—unless a page explicitly says otherwise.

Unless a guide explicitly identifies a firsthand visit, it is not a personal dining review. The current guide entries should be read as source-backed research and editorial curation.

Editorial stamps

Some Q1 2025 opening records carry a non-numerical Forkin desk assessment of attributable public coverage. The label is: “Forkin desk assessment of attributable public coverage — not a personal dining review.” These are not Forkin Score, a rating, ranking, personal visit or guarantee.

FORKIN WORTH IT requires at least two substantive exact-outlet evaluations, including an established editorial or reasonably independent/self-paid source, without material credible conflict. WORTH A LOOK is provisional evidence. MIXED FORKS signals material disagreement in substantive coverage. We do not publish an UNRATED verdict; it means the supplied coverage did not clear the stated evidence bar.

Each displayed assessment links its evidence, records its assessment date and flags caveats. Google Maps ratings, review counts and review text are not used for these stamps and remain separately displayed where available.

Automation & accountability

Automation, including AI-assisted tools, may help with discovery, structuring and checks. It does not replace the evidence rules on this page, and we do not represent every record as individually human-reviewed. The Forkin Editorial Desk remains accountable for publication decisions and for addressing errors.

Independence

Forkin does not accept payment in exchange for inclusion, placement or ranking in its editorial opening records or guides. A source link, official link or embed is provided for attribution and reader utility, not as an endorsement.

Media rights & embeds

We publish media only where documented permission, a suitable licence, public-domain status or a permitted platform embed supports the use. Embedded posts remain on their originating platforms. Attribution alone is not treated as permission to copy or rehost media.

Corrections & updates

Spot an error, changed detail or missing context? Send the page URL, the detail in question and a supporting source. We assess substantiated corrections and update records where appropriate. “Verified,” “checked” and similar dates mean the linked information was checked on that date; they do not guarantee it remains current today.
