Why Rise Bakehouse Heritage scores 5.6

MIXED FORKS · band 5.5–6.9 (base 6.0)

The Forkin Evidence Score is a transparent calibration of the published evidence behind this venue's editorial stamp — not a personal dining rating, and never derived from Google data. It starts from the stamp's base value, applies the five evidence adjustments below, then clamps the result inside the stamp's band.

  • Source consensuslimited−0.15one/limited attributable source
  • Critic calibreindependent0.00independent/blog-only attributable backing

MIXED FORKS

Confidence: low

Forkin desk assessment of attributable public coverage — not a personal dining review.

Re-evidenced from scratch. Of three previously counted sources only one survives. The Eatbook article previously counted here is disclosed as a media tasting, and its stored publication date of 2 May 2025 does not match the live page, which is dated 8 June 2026 — a stored-date error the desk could not reconcile from any retrieved version. Two newly located sources, MiddleClass.sg and HungryGoWhere, are both undated on retrieval and both explicitly describe hosted tastings. A further blog post did not load. The single surviving source is independent, dated and specific, but it records material criticism, and the DanielFoodDiary review that would otherwise have corroborated it carries no verifiable publication date. A top-band verdict cannot rest on one mixed assessment.

What public coverage says

Forkin holds one countable independent assessment of the South Bridge Road bakery, and it is a mixed one, so this listing sits in the middle band at low confidence. The surviving April 2025 review praises the restored shophouse setting and finds the crab scrambled-egg tartine's egg, chilli oil and crab elements well executed, but reports a disconnect between that filling and its toast. A second independent review of the same period noted the pandan gula melaka teacake as dry and found the kueh salat cake missing its defining glutinous-rice component. Most other coverage of the bakery is disclosed hosted or invited work and is not counted here. The rating will be revisited when further independent dated coverage appears.

Caveat: Provisional single-source rating: only one countable independent assessment of this exact outlet survives verification, so the stamp and score are published at low confidence. The stored Eatbook citation recorded a publication date of 2025-05-02; the live page is dated 2026-06-08 and discloses a media tasting. Both the date and the countability of that source were wrong in the previous record. The DanielFoodDiary review of this outlet is substantive and exact-outlet matched but publishes no verifiable date, so it is retained as context only.
