MIXED FORKS
Confidence: mediumForkin desk assessment of attributable public coverage — not a personal dining review.
Restored 3 September 2026 on two dated, independent, exact-outlet assessments from established publishers. Both identify a standout item alongside material shortfalls, so the coverage is uneven rather than solidly positive and the band is MIXED FORKS.
What public coverage says
Peh Gao Coffeeshop is the daytime concept of the Orh Gao Taproom team at Serene Centre in Bukit Timah, reopened in a new unit in early 2026 and serving kopitiam staples by day before turning into a craft-beer taproom at night. Two independent, dated assessments count and both are mixed. Daniel Food Diary found the Kaya Butter Toast underwhelming, without the crunch and warmth expected of freshly toasted bread. Honeycombers called the nasi lemak beef rendang a standout while judging the rest of the menu to be still finding its footing.

Flagged for editorial review. The DanielFoodDiary citation is an 'Orh Gao Peh Gao' article covering the daytime Peh Gao concept; it is recorded as such rather than as an article titled 'Peh Gao Coffeeshop'. Its exact-outlet basis and evaluative quote were re-derived from the live page. The Seth Lui citation is unverifiable behind Cloudflare and is retained as context only. A previously located SG Food on Foot write-up states it is an invited tasting and remains excluded. Venue is on the desk's do-not-contact list: this assessment was made from published sources only and no approach was made to the operator.
