Why Ernie's Coffee scores 7.6

WORTH A LOOK · band 7.0–8.4 (base 7.5)

The Forkin Evidence Score is a transparent calibration of the published evidence behind this venue's editorial stamp — not a personal dining rating, and never derived from Google data. It starts from the stamp's base value, applies the five evidence adjustments below, then clamps the result inside the stamp's band.

WORTH A LOOK

Confidence: low

Forkin desk assessment of attributable public coverage — not a personal dining review.

Two countable sources support this rating. jiaksimipng positively declares anonymous, self-funded visits and provides a detailed exact-outlet assessment; DanielFoodDiary's dated October 2025 review of the same Stirling Road unit corroborates it. Neither is a major critic and no third publisher has been located, so the rating sits in the middle band rather than the top one.

What public coverage says

Two countable independent reviews support this rating. jiaksimipng, which states publicly that it makes anonymous visits and pays for its own meals as a regular customer, gave the Blk 49 Stirling Road cafe a detailed and favourable assessment in November 2025, singling out the kaya and butter grilled sandwich for a kaya carrying real sweetness from the grill and a whipped-textured butter, and calling it a thoughtful step beyond the standard kaya toast. DanielFoodDiary reviewed the same hidden HDB unit in October 2025. Both are recent and neither is a major critic, so the desk holds the assessment at the lower end of its band.

Last assessed 4 September 2026 · 2 linked substantive sources

Caveat: Corrected 4 September 2026. This record previously stated that only one source was countable because the DanielFoodDiary review was undated. That article publishes 11 October 2025 in its article metadata, its structured data and its rendered header. The earlier finding was produced while the publisher was answering this desk with a rate-limit challenge, and it is withdrawn. The two counted sources are one personal blog and one established independent site. No major-outlet or masthead coverage of this outlet has been located, so confidence remains low pending broader coverage. The band was previously reduced from FORKIN WORTH IT on the stated ground that a single source cannot carry a top-band endorsement. That ground no longer holds as stated. The band has deliberately not been raised in this pass: adding a countable source is not by itself an editorial basis for a top-band verdict, and the question is left for a normal assessment cohort. The coool.cafe entry is a directory listing without editorial assessment and is not used.
