Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice (Jewel Changi Airport)

Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice has opened an outlet at Jewel Changi Airport, at #B2-243 and 244, trading daily from 10:00am to 10:00pm as listed in Jewel's official dining directory. A soft-opening period began on 11 August 2026 with 20% off for early diners until 17 August, and the grand opening is set for 22 August 2026. The brand began in 1986 as a single stall at Maxwell Food Centre, started by Madam Foo Kui Lian and her elder brother. Singapore Global Network's 7 August 2025 profile records that history, the late Anthony Bourdain's praise for the rice, and the 2013 Hawker Heroes Challenge appearance against Gordon Ramsay. Tian Tian is listed as a Bib Gourmand in the current MICHELIN Guide Singapore. The original Maxwell stall is a separate Forkin listing, recorded as established 1986. A Jewel Signature Exclusive menu is offered daily at this outlet only. It includes the Tian Tian Heritage Platter for two to three, with ngoh hiang, Hainanese pork chop, Thai-style fried tofu, tiger-prawn beancurd rolls and fried salad prawns; Madam Foo's Steamed Chicken Curry, a homemade curry ladled over the signature steamed chicken with a choice of chicken rice, white rice, yellow noodle, thick vermicelli or baguette; Nanyang Golden Chicken, marinated in turmeric and curry leaves then fried crisp; and Crystal Chicken Feet, the boneless glass chicken feet the Maxwell stall sold from 1986. For the grand opening the brand will give away 88 complimentary takeaway packets of its signature chicken rice on each of 22 and 23 August 2026, while stocks last. A limited-edition Tian Tian Blind Box Series of four collectible plush keychains — Chopping Board, Chicken, Chilli Bowl and a special-edition Chicken Rice Plate — is offered from 22 August on a purchase-with-purchase basis: S$10.80 with any S$30 spend in-store, or all four designs for S$38.88 with no duplicates. One claim in the launch material does not hold up. The press release presents this as the brand's first-ever flagship. Singapore Global Network's 2025 profile describes the Maxwell stall as the flagship and records existing outlets at Simpang Bedok, Clementi, Lucky Plaza and Bishan. Forkin describes this simply as the brand's Jewel Changi Airport outlet and does not publish the first-flagship claim. Jewel's own directory also dates the Bib Gourmand run 2016 to 2025 rather than through 2026, and neither the 2009 second-generation handover nor the specific 2013 contest result could be independently confirmed. Launch details and images were supplied by the venue's PR representative. No editorial stamp and no Forkin Score has been issued for this outlet.
